Monster Trellis(s)

This weekend Mr. Bob Wildenhaus made the trek (twice) from Olympia, WA to our house to help Daddy with a couple of home improvement projects. The bigger of the two was to construct trellises on each of the six sections of fence we have in our backyard. After several stops and starts, they finally got everything worked into place. That left only the task of putting up a chair rail in what is basically defined as our dining room. After some tough angles and multiple trips up and down the stairs to Bob's chop saw, the guys finally got something that even I can be proud of.

Great-Grandpeeps!

This weekend my great-grandparents came to Seattle from the comfortable climes of Santa Rosa, CA. Gramps worked overtime trying to teach me the numeric representations for the various pitches found at the advanced levels of baseball:

1-Fastball
2-Curve
3-Slider
4-Change up

This was their first visit to our new home so we spent a nice chunk of time here. A stroll to Salmon Bay Park was a fun part of the experience as well. While not quite to the level of my parents, I've exhibited my love for whine (sic) and can't wait to make it down to Gramps and Grandma J's to experience the bounty of Santa Rosa and Sonoma County!

Spanish Reading Hour

Today Anna Witte, the author of El Loro Tico Tango, did a special reading at Sponge. There were many children in attendance and I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Mom got us a copy of the book signed by Anna especially para mi.

Cindi Togar

Tonight the hallowed halls of Chez Beel were graced by the presence of Ms. Cindi Togar... Erstwhile childcare provider for yours truly and reigning top-notch gal. We read books and played with Little People. I've missed her ever since we switched nurseries and it appears as if they feeling is mutual.

Panoramic Mt. Si View

Last night I stayed over at the lovely home of David and Mary Barrett. Their home is situated in the foothills of the Cascades and features a stunning view of Mt. Si. They enlisted the help of their grandson Gabriel to stand in as a worthy playmate for yours truly. Fun, fun, and yet more fun.

Playdate with Hen

Today I got dropped off at the charming home of the Lights: Don, Amy and Henry. The plan was for Amy to take us to the Ida Culver house to rendez-vous with Bailey and spend some time entertaining the residents there. Bailey called in sick so Henry and I got to tear it up at his house and went for a nice walk too. Alas, all good things must come to an end so Amy dropped me off at ELDC after our fun morning together.
